Hopefully the officials (especially the ref) realize the situation. SA has nothing to play for but pride. Houston is trying to get into the playoffs and know that once they do they need to be able to play, not be so banged up from stick infractions, illegal hits and fighting that they can't play.
So I expect that the officiating would reflect the fact that if SA tries to goon it up for the sake of gooning it up there will be swift and long lasting repercussions.
I'm fine with a tough, physical game but the illegal activity should be on par with a normal game -- which is saying a lot already for SA this year.
The worst thing would be for the Aeros to get injuries or suspensions that carry over into the playoffs while the Rampage injuries or suspensions effect their golf game.
Is that article going to be required reading/studying for our Aeros guys? I sure hope they do and change the signs, maybe...let's fake out ;) the Rampage with a different approach!
Please permit me to plug Ross Bernstein's book "The Code". Interesting reading about the past and present state of enforcement in the game. My bet tonight is Love and Keffe before mid-point of the 1st period. The winner, Mitch by a nose. Any takers?
