I haven't posted many music videos lately, but this is special. After the game tonight, Chris Jerina asked me to post Pearl Jam's "Alive." And since Chris has kindly let us use so much of his work, and since he was a rather gracious host to me here in Milwaukee, I'm going to honor his request.
So, here's Pearl Jam and "Alive."

A Reader Request: Comfortably Numb
Forecheck, you requested it, so here it is. Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb."
Good choice by the way. Some of the guys did appear to be a bit numb for the first part of the game -- if they played the first 10 minutes of the first like they played the rest of the game, then the result would have probably been a bit different.
And as Andrew and I noted below, Constantine's aware of the issue, and he's trying to figure out what to do about it.

A Little Christmas Music
It's Christmas, and I've got nothing hockey to write. I just thought I would come over and post a video of one of my all-time Christmas songs. So here's The Pretenders with "2000 Miles."
I hope that everyone has a great holiday.

I Am He As You Are He...
Bad news. You're going to have to get through this weekend's games, especially the Sunday game against Chicago, without me. That's right, there's not going to be a long meandering post making absolutely no sense after Sunday's game.
There's not a problem. I'll just be out of town and I'll be back for Wednesday's game -- speaking of which, I'm working on something for the mothership on Tuesday that's related to Wednesday's game, so watch this space. Meanwhile, I'm going to be in L.A. this weekend pitching a reality show to a reality show producer friend of mine -- I'm thinking Real Doc Review Attorneys of Harris County.
I'm not sure that either one wants it, but I'm turning over Sunday DJ duties to Andrew and Heather. Which means you probably won't be getting any Beatles songs as a video -- I'm making it a quest to see if I can connect a Beatles song/video to the rest of my game posts for this season. It's my working theory that The Beatles have a song that fits most situations.
So enjoy the games this weekend.
And because I can't, at the moment think of anyway that "I Am The Walrus" will ever relate to any Aeros game, I'm playing it here. See everybody on Wednesday night.

New Commenting Rules (Kind of)
One of the things we try to do here it at T3I is to provide a source for not only Aeros and hockey info in general, but for all of you to express your thoughts on the various topics we discuss, or anything you want discussed. And we like a good dialogue, and we like to think that we encourage a lively exchange of ideas.
But, we would like for this expression of dialogue to be civil -- since Heather and I have both been known to use profanity in posts, I can't say no profanity. So on behalf of Heather, Fred, and Andrew, I would kindly request that everybody please watch their tone. Try to cut back on the insults. Try not to call somebody else names. If you disagree, that's fine. But we would just ask that you try to do so in a more polite manner.
Here's the thing. We have the ability to delete comments that we believe go over the top. We've never done that. We've never seen the need to do that. But after some of the stuff earlier today, we have seriously started contemplating that option. Now, I lost out on the argument about whether those comments should have been deleted -- I thought they should stay because I don't like punishing people for breaking rules they didn't know existed, but like I said, I lost.
However, starting from this post on, if we see anything we consider to be over the top, defamatory, or just plain classless and insulting, we're DELETING IT. And just as a reminder, we also have the ability to use the moderation feature, which means nothing gets posted until one of us approves it. I don't want to do that since I'm the one without a job and that means I would be the one stuck with having to approve all of the comments. But that option is still out there.
So please, comment. Have a good time. Agree. Fight. Argue. Express anguish. Let us know how you feel about what the Aeros have done, or the league, or the opposition. Just keep it civil.
After all, we don't want hurt feelings.

At Your Request
Keeping with the we want to keep our readers happy thing, Rob has requested another music video, and wants to send this out "to whom it may concern" in every sports related front office everywhere.
So here's Eric Clapton and The Band with "Further On Up The Road."

The T3I Jukebox -- I'm Down
I try to save the music video requests for playing over at my place, The ClownVision Chronicles, but Rob asked politely in the previous post, and we here at T3I like keeping our readers happy. So, by request, here's The Beatles performing "I'm Down."

Going Back To The Start
I stumbled across this video while surfing the web today. It's CBC's "Hockey Night In Canada" opening intro for the Stanley Cup Finals. And I know it's not cool to like Coldplay, which means I'm not cool. But the use of Coldplay's "The Scientist" as the song, then employing the same technique as the video of going in reverse to get back to the start, very nice -- there are some very cool images in this. So enjoy.

A Little Proper Motivation
So I go across the Atlantic for a weekend and the Aeros completely fall apart. That tells me that they need to add me to their travel budget. That said, I think it's time that I pull out the big guns in an attempt to get them in the mood for the game. So here's Foo Fighters with "My Hero."
