Aeros v. Lake Erie 4/4 - Quicksand

Ahhh, the sweet taste of 6 losses in 7 games, slipping from second in the standings to fourth in a matter of days, and now wondering if it's going to take slipping in through the back door to get in the playoffs.

But it doesn't do any good to be mad. In fact, the Aeros' mounting frustration is the very thing that sent the team completely off the rails in the third period. Six completely unnecessary penalties in the third resulting in only 3 shots on goal and no chance at one of those famous come-backs.

Time to come home, rest up, get some practices in, maybe get some guys healthy. It's going to be war in San Antonio next weekend. They've got absolutely nothing to lose and the teams aren't exactly BFFs.

Hopefully this week of rest, plus some fortuitous wins/losses in the league, will be the rope the Aeros need to pull themselves out of this quicksand.
