I have no doubt the Aeros can win this Tuesday, but it's going to take a full team, 60 minute effort, from the goalie on out. But when the Aeros play THEIR game for a full 60, they are better than Milwaukee. And Smith is one tired goalie, I guarantee it. Sure, Hackett's played the same number of games, but he's only been half as busy.
And while the boys are focusing on process instead of outcome Tuesday night, I'll be doing the same in my own game, so I'll miss this one. Hope I'll have good news when I get off the ice and Friday night wasn't actually my last trip to the Toyota Center until October.
(Does your stomach hurt as much as mine when you think about that? Ugh. But it's a testament to my belief in this team--or possibly to my air-headedness--that the thought didn't even occur to me until I was packing up my stuff after Friday's game.)
Anyway, without further ado, here are my favorites from the night. You can check the full set here, especially if you have a thing for Hackett. Bunch of fabulous glamour shots of him.

Bulmer crushing Aaron Johnson. Milwaukee fans mostly oblivious. SIDDOWN!

Love the perspective on this shot.

Hackett gets a timely leg over. You can see the puck just under the logo on the outer roll of his pad.

And then Smith does the same. You can see the puck on the toe of his pad.
Alright. That is all. Good night.

Yep, great shots and I like the ones of Smith as well, just to be onery :-).. but that one where Hackett sits (?lol) on an Ad.. is priceless!
Well game 7 will have to played without me listening.
And I hope a miracle will happen!
Should Yeo channel Herb, mayhap?
OOPs that comment was by artandhockey.. Sorry, anonymous, did not mean to usurp your

That toe stop my Smith was something. Palmer made a great move behind the net, he had the space, and it looked like there was no way Smith was going to get over to get that thing, and the last second he was able to get that toe out just far enough to stop it.
Thank you, John, again for the great coverage and to Chris for the awesome photos. The Aeros have what it takes to get the job done tomorrow night. I don't think they need a miracle, they need to play their game and keep their eyes on the prize...a win to take them to the next round.
I always enjoy the great pictures!
What Annonymous [the second Annonymous] said. I enjoy John's photos as well, when we get them, but the stick figures have been sparse. Yeah, I know we had stick figures because we couldn't get photos for a while, but ... I really like them! John's photos are good, especially for the short amount of time he's been photographing hockey. And Chris? Geez! He just keeps getting better and better. I hope he doesn't soon leave us behind in the snow for Getty!
