UPDATE -- According to the Conn. Post, Zingoni missed most of last season with a broken wrist ... and that comes after a slow start while recovering from a groin injury. Confirmed:
Jon DiSalvatore (two-way)
Duncan Milroy (two-way)
Pete Zingoni (pictured, AHL deal)
There is also a NHL No. 2 / AHL No. 1 goalie that will sign, but I am waiting for confirmation before I post and look silly.
More to come later tonight ... perhaps Heather, John and Fred could weigh in on what they think.
Personally, I think these are good replacements for the now departed Locke/Kolanos/Schultz (there is no way he is coming back now). In fact, you still get good PP guys and maybe even a little more responsibility on the other side of the puck.
Discuss.

hmm. Zingoni, even some FNL experience there!
I think you have this flipp flopped Because a NHL #1 would sure as hell be an AHL #1
Sure as hell you are right Mr. Josh.
Thanks for pointing that out.
And yes, I fixed it.
So where is Shultz going???
No clue ... but I have a sneaking suspicion that he might end up with San Antonio or Austin this year.
No real reason ... just a hunch.
Oh ok. thanks for that Andrew! Do you have any hunches on Schaefer or Love?? Just curious, hate the fact we are losing all are wonderful players. Thanks
I think Love coming back is a little less than 50-50. Schaefer, I do not see coming back and Beaudoin, well, I think something would have been announced by now if he were coming back.
There is a lot of turnover, and I think it just stings a little more following a year where the team did so well in the playoffs.
As Fred pointed out before, the Aeros are worse off offensively so far, but they have improved markedly on the defensive side.
Goaltending-wise, could be interesting ... but for some reason I have a gut feeling about Brust in a contract year.
So we actually will have forwards next season, I was begining to wonder.
We still don't have a scorer though, someone who's a threat to be in the top 10 or even top 20 (Top 10 was 76 points, top 20 was 66).
So, will this be a re-run of the '07-08 season, when the Aeros tried to win 2-1 at home and tie every road game 1-1 in regulation? Zzzzz......
the Aeros seriously should consider SIGNING BEAUDOIN!!!!!
at least one difference maker from last season...
go matt beaudoin
