From the Baby Pens' beat reporter, here's the list of injuries to that team now that they're out of the playoffs:
Adam Berkhoel (goalie)-- had to have his knee drained six times during the Hershey series; scheduled for surgery tomorrowCrazy, these hockey players, and don't you love 'em for gutting it out?
John Curry (goalie) -- injured knee in Game 5 vs. Bridgeport; tried to take painkillers to get through Hershey series but couldn't go
Tim Wallace -- broken collarbone
Janne Pesonen -- broken bone in his hand
Andy Wozniewski -- broken foot
Joey Mormina -- high-ankle sprain; didn't miss a game
Aaron Boogaard -- probably needs shoulder surgery
Dustin Jeffrey, Connor James, Bill Thomas -- knee injuries
Joey Haddad -- had knee surgery
Paul Bissonnette -- had wrist surgery
Eric Tangradi -- had hand surgery

Wow, they'd have filled a hospital's recovery ward. Unbelievable what a human body can do while in pain if the will is there. Incredible that these guys even got that far. Sure wish them all their recoveries are 100%.
When our team does not play as well as we feel they should, we should keep in mind that injuries could be the problem.
I'll stick to being an engineer in a plant full of hydrocarbons several times more volatile than gasoline.

Not to mention sissy soccer players rolling around on the ground holding their leg....
