...selected by their respective clubs for their outstanding contributions to the local community and charitable organizations during the 2008-09 season. The Aeros Man of the Year is defenseman Brandon Rogers.
From this list of finalists, representatives from American Specialty and the AHL will choose the winner of the 2008-09 Yanick Dupre Memorial Award. The AHL’s annual Man of the Year award is named after the late Yanick Dupre, who died in 1997 at the age of 24, following a 16-month battle with leukemia.
Good on ya, Brandon.

Brandon Rogers is an inspiration, a stand up guy, a first class leader. He makes our community a better place. Congratulations Brandon. Thank you. And thanks to all the Aeros players, coaches, and staff (you too Aero Dynamics and Chilly) who give so graciously of their time and energy to so many. You folks are making a difference.
Hopefully the Aeros have a press release to educate the public on Brandon's activities and what he's done to deserve such an honor.
Or maybe one of the gang could interview him about it.
Well done. And yes, someone should profile the good deeds done by this exceptional young man being honored. Aeros publicity, The Third Intermission team, papers-who will go first?
