Quick Hits: Sully, Torch, Earl, and Anton

Just a few things:

  1. Patrick "Golden Ticket" O'Sullivan was named AHL Player of the Month for his stellar play in February. Well deserved honor.
  2. It's quite a blow for Bakersfield but Josh Tordjman's been called up officially as of today. Also, Cody Almond is showing as having been called up yesterday. Not sure if that was some trade deadline maneuvering or if he's actually not going to be available to the Aeros tomorrow. I do know the Wild was looking to send someone to New York as an illness replacement, but I didn't think that was known until today.
  3. I wrote a little piece on Robbie Earl's stepped-up efforts for theAHL.com today. He was good talking about finding his game again. I've also probably jinxed him just like I jinxed poor Palmer (dude, I seriously owe you, like, a muffin basket or pitcher of beer or something).
  4. Finally, I reciprocated a little Khudobin appetizer for our P-Bruins friends over at Something's Bruin. Check it out if you want to throw your own thoughts in the comments over there. It's probably a little bit sunshinier than I've felt about him day-to-day this season, but when I look at the big picture, I've got a very warm spot in my heart for Anton along with a lot of belief in him, and I hope he does great things and blows them all away.

And now Kalus officially traded to BlueJackets=Syracuse Crunch.. who will play Aeros here on March 4.
Inevitable.. he has been a healthy scratch far too long by coaches.

Interesting that you bring Kalus up, since Lethonen essentially "pulled a Kalus" on the Bruins.

I'm wondering if the brass in Minnysota will draft the next Matt Foy this summer....

(ducking...)

Actually Jackets are Springfield now, so we won't see Kalus again. Syracuse switched affiliations to Anaheim this season.
