Wilds assigns Colton Gillies to Aeros

Wild gets roster down to 26; assigns Colton Gillies to Houston.

He played for the Aeros two playoffs ago when they met the Rockford IceHogs.
Colton spent all of last season in Minnesota.

While he won't play tonight, he should make his Aeros regular season debut Friday in Manitoba.

And possibly Craig Weller, Nathan Smith (on waivers) and Andy Hilbert heading to Houston?

Yeah, those are all quite strong possibilities, I'd wager. Bubble guys at Aeros camp are paying attention to this, no doubt.

What about Weller?

Hopefully they'll keep Pouliot up there.

No chance, no chance. Now it has been proven, the Finnish National League is much better than NHL. Tappara - Florida Panthers 3-2 SO.
Ville Nieminen (Ex-Flames, Avalanche) got the winner for Tappara. Harri Ilvonen (Wild #170, 2007) played in the first defensive pairing for Tappara Tampere. Some nice pics here:

Also interesting to have AHL teams playing in Scotland. Hamilton Bulldogs ended up the winner
in the four team tournament. Toronto Marlies and two EIHL sides (Edinburgh Capitals and Belfast Giants)were the other teams taking part.
