Wild Sends Players to Houston

Though I'll doubt that they will all be here in time for tonight's contest at SLICE, the Wild announced today that Cody Almond, Danny Irmen, Robbie Earl, and Matt Kassian have been assigned -- as expected -- to the Aeros. That leaves the Wild roster at 27, so there may still be a player or two still coming our way. I'm thinking of Colton Gilies and Benoit Pouliot.

Marco Scandella, who was in Houston for last year's Calder Cup playoffs, was assigned to a junior team.

I'm thinking John Scott before Pouliot.

Pouliot would require waivers to be sent to Houston. I see Fletcher and Co. giving him a shot before they would try to put him through waivers.

He is currently out with a minor leg injury and should be back on the ice at the end of this week.
