Buck returned to Florida

Just a little note I ran across from the Florida Everblades beat writer. Brandon Buck was a scratch in Thursday's Aeros game and now official word is that he's been sent back to the Everblades.

The team is currently on the road in Cincinnati, OH and have a game tonight, so I'm assuming he's joined them on the road.

Thought it was interesting that he called out Buck as the fastest player on the Florida team when he was up before. He fit into the Aeros mix quite nicely, so it's good to know there's a reliable body to bring up when the roster gets thin in Houston.

Agreed, Buck WAS a surprisingly good addition to the Aeros as I mentioned in my blogs several times.

I have a question, and apologize for sticking it in here where it really doesn't fit. I wasn't sure how to properly post it.

Last night I wanted to watch the Dallas Stars on NHL Hockey, channel 124. I watch that channel a lot and pay for the package it's a part of. The game was not shown, only a blank screen. It happened to my sister as well and she lives in another neighborhood. We found out today that apparently the NHL blocks the feed to Houston during Dallas games. Any idea why? Any idea how we can find out?

And I'm sorry Buck is gone, but happy he can come back if needed. I liked him while he was here.

I'm not sure, but if it's like the Extra Innings package with MLB, it was blocked because Fox Sports Southwest was broadcasting the game, and Houston is a home market for Fox Sports Southwest. In that instance, the NHL Package feed is blacked out and only the local feed can be shown. This also happens when the Astros are playing the Cubs -- WGN's feed will be blacked out in the Houston area, and on Extra Innings, all Texas Rangers games were often blacked out in Houston. I hope that helps.

Thank you, John. I don't like it, but at least now I understand it. :)

well, now that we have 2 offense guys added to the injury list, will they bring "Bucky" back?
