He is the first Aeros player to get it since Barry Brust did last year in March.
Before that, Jean-Guy Trudel was the last to get the honor .... way back in November 2003.
Here is a nice list on the AHL site that shows previous all the way back to the year 405 B.C.
Congrats to KK and his help in literally getting the Aeros to the playoffs this year.

I believe...
and hope that KC gets the opportunity to coach the Wild. With KC already having coached KK, there could be a better opportunity for KK to play in the NHL with the Wild. He has the talent and the instinct...but he needs the right coach to let it happen.
